Work Experience
With 25 years of experience in boat and yacht delivery, private captain services, and boat instruction, this licensed and certified marine captain—currently obtaining a USCG license—has worked with five CEOs, an NBA champion, movie producers, and various boat owners, skillfully navigating and fishing in global waters on vessels up to 100 tons since October 1995 in San Diego, CA.
With extensive experience in tournament fishing, yacht and vessel delivery, management, and outfitting both new and retrofitted vessels, our captain ensures top-tier service and safety. Skilled in overseeing all levels of vessel maintenance and preservation, he has successfully managed multiple yacht refits while maintaining an impeccable safety record. Having captained vessels ranging from 36′ to 115′, he excels in crew, property, and asset management across multiple ports.

- Navigated waters in the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Central America, Inter-Coastal Waterways of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
- Fished in waters off California, Mexico, Kona, Central America, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Singapore, Straights of Sumatra, Java, and Mentawai Islands.
- Have been crew and captain of boats up to100 tons since age 16 without any injuries or accidents
- Have supervised or personally conducted all required mechanical and cosmetic vessel maintenance.
From LP, Gel coat, Teak decks, varnish, underway repairs. This includes new vessel outfitting and used vessel retrofitting of all mechanical/ electronic equipment/ bait systems and big game outfitting. Personally outfitted more than 37 sport fishing yachts including the 2007 Bisbee’s Black and Blue winning yacht Angel and the Badman II. Currently working on an 80′ and a 50′ Sportfish in San Diego. Captain Alex Edwards has navigated yachts in very tight areas and in various ports all over the world. With over 100+ deliveries to Mexico and beyond. He has learned all types of fishing techniques from ballyhoo, live bait, skip bait, to all forms of lure fishing. Also, has fished at the highest levels of competition and have been successful in catching hundreds of bill fish including black marlin, blue marlin, striped marlin, sailfish, spearfish, and has the ability to drive the boat on any fish of any size, read water conditions, currents, SLP charts, and put the crew on fish.
Together with the skills of fishing, tackle rigging, preparation, preventative maintenance, navigation, and management, CaptainAlex Edwards is a true professional fishing captain at the highest levels which helped earn multiple wins in the Bisbees Black and Blue tournaments, and multiple wins in Southern California tournaments.
